Arcadia (Phoenix, Ariz.).
The Buffaloes were up 28-20 at the half after taking the lead on a
Raija Holt touchdown run in the second quarter.
Tempe expanded its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Sebastian Watkins.
Watkins played well for the Buffaloes in the victory. The junior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Payson Kendle made a difference for the Titans. The senior kicked one extra point. His performance brought his touchdown total to two on the year.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Arcadia took, 38-7.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Tempe, which was coming off a 26-14 defeat at the hands of Campo Verde in its previous game.
Tempe (6-2) goes up against Seton Catholic in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Arcadia (3-5) locks horns with Saguaro in a III Section III game.
