Bennington will challenge Goessel on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Bennington don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Last Friday, Bennington put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Herington to the tune of 54-6. Among those leading the charge for Bennington was senior Jt Ohlson, who rushed for 77 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ohlson has now scored at least one touchdown in the past five games.
Meanwhile, don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Goessel and Peabody-Burns were playing football. It was close but no cigar for Goessel as they fell 52-54 to Peabody-Burns. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Goessel.
Bennington's win lifted them to 4-3 while Goessel's loss dropped them down to 3-4. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
