It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the T.R. Miller Tigers can now relate to. They fell 24-14 to Montgomery Catholic on Friday. While losing is never fun, T.R. Miller can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Montgomery Catholic is ranked 22nd).
Caleb Mccreary was his usual excellent self, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 116 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes. Josh Griffin was another key contributor, rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
T.R. Miller's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Montgomery Catholic, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
T.R. Miller does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Catholic will face off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
