The Dayton Greendevils will head out to take on the Villa Madonna Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dayton is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Dayton had taken Bellevue down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Greendevils fell 13-8 to the Tigers.
Emily Hall stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Boyers, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Villa Madonna got themselves on the board against St. Henry on Thursday, but St. Henry never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won eight in a row.
Cam Kratzer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Kratzer was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, Chloe Cotton was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Ella Derry was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Villa Madonna now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dayton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Villa Madonna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Dayton came up short against Villa Madonna in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Greendevils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
