 Meanwhile, Greeley West scored the most  points they've had  this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took  a  72-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greeley Central. Even if the Spartans couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.
 Greeley West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Fossil Ridge, their  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.
 Everything came up roses for Fossil Ridge against Greeley West in their previous meeting  back in February of 2020, as the  team secured  a  97-65 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Greeley West's  Colton Gillingham, who  put up 29  points.
