Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Sonora Broncos walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Anson on Thursday and snuck past 29-27.
Sonora's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaime Buitron, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Edgar Deluna, who gained 108 total yards and a touchdown.
Sonora's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Anson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Anson also has no future games currently scheduled.
