The Fernley Vaqueros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season. They blew past North Valleys 66-32 on the road. Fernley's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Jasmyne Torres continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Tollestrup, who scored 17 points.
Fernley pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.25 points. As for North Valleys, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Fernley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Tahoe at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. North Valleys won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lowry at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Lowry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
