West Greene is 0-7 against North Greene since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Buffaloes will head out on the road to challenge the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. West Greene is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
West Greene took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Hampton.
Morgan Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Hayley Arnold was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Miranda Hunter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, North Greene unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 23-10 to Greeneville.
North Greene's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Greene, their record now sits at 5-6.
