Oswego is on a six-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), the Indians an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Oswego Indians will take on the St. Paul Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Oswego is ranked 347th, while the Indians are ranked 356th).
Last Tuesday, Oswego strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 43-29.
Oswego's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayden Myers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. Josh Hutchinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, St. Paul came up short against the Jayhawks on Friday and fell 40-27.
Oswego's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Oswego didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Indians in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory. Does Oswego have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
