Softball Recap: Powers Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Powers had won five straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped up to 6-0 to make it six. They put the hurt on the Lowell Red Devils with a sharp 21-2 win. Considering the Cruisers have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Lowell, they now have a losing record of 4-5. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Lowell's part, Madison Thurman was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Coming up, Powers will challenge Gold Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowell, they will face off against Oakland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
