The Warren County Screaming Devils entered their tilt with the Jasper County Hurricanes with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Warren County took down Jasper County 67-49 on Saturday. For Warren County, this counts as revenge for the 47-42 loss Jasper County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Leading Warren County to victory were Ra'Quavian Jones and Darius Hill. Jones scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists, while Hill dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Darden, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Warren County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Jasper County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
Warren County will be playing at home against Washington-Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jasper County on the road again on Tuesday and play against Social Circle at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Social Circle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Jasper County is ranked 201st).
