After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin Regional, the West Mifflin Titans were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 72-45 victory over Laurel Highlands. For West Mifflin, this counts as revenge for the 83-59 loss Laurel Highlands walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
Despite the loss, Laurel Highlands still got an impressive performance from Antwan Black, who scored 13 points. Aiden Black was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
West Mifflin's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Laurel Highlands, they have fallen quite a ways from their 25-4 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Mifflin will take on Perry Traditional Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laurel Highlands, they will be playing at home against Connellsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Connellsville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
