It was a good run, but the Perry-Lecompton Kaws unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 57-37 defeat at the hands of Rossville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Perry-Lecompton has suffered against Rossville since December 20, 2016.
Rossville found their leader in underclassman Jack Donovan, who scored 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Donovan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kameron Badura, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Perry-Lecompton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Rossville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Perry-Lecompton will head out on the road to take on Hiawatha at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hiawatha will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Rossville will take on St. Marys at TBD on Friday.
