The Sheridan Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arrupe Jesuit Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sheridan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Thursday, Sheridan had to suffer through a rough 80-19 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sheridan has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Arrupe Jesuit's game on Saturday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. Their rough 55-34 defeat to DSST: Montview might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Arrupe Jesuit can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Knights are ranked 51st).
Despite the loss, Arrupe Jesuit saw an underclassman step up: Ari Cowans scored 25 points along with three steals. That was a full 73.5% of Arrupe Jesuit's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sheridan dropped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Sheridan might still be hurting after the 61-37 defeat they got from the Generals when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Sheridan have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
