The Biggs Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Maxwell Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Biggs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 294 points over their last four games.
Biggs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 80-55 margin over Los Molinos. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-21.
Biggs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Kroupa, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Kroupa is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilio Vera, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and four blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Maxwell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Williams by a score of 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Maxwell has suffered yet this season.
Biggs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Maxwell, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-10.
Everything went Biggs' way against Maxwell when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Biggs made off with a 65-41 win. Does Biggs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maxwell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
