Valley Catholic is 2-8 against Banks since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Valiants will host the Braves at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Valley Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Catlin Gabel get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Valiants in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
Brandon Yee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Valley Catholic is 3-1-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise. Yee was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Valley Catholic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Banks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Valley Catholic took their victory against Banks when the teams last played on April 10th by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Valiants have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
