The Temple Christian Watchmen were the 50-42 winner over the Stephenville FAITH Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Temple Christian took a 52-33 bruising from Stephenville FAITH on Thursday. Temple Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Channing Wescott, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Esmerelda Cervantes was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven steals.
Temple Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Stephenville FAITH, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Temple Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Providence Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. Stephenville FAITH's road trip will continue as they head out to face Community Christian on January 30th.
