Hubbard came tearing into  Thursday's  matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Little Village Phoenix by a score of  2-0. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the   2-1 victory the Phoenix walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in September of 2024.
 While Hubbard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23,  25-15.
 Mia Jauregui paced Hubbard's offense, picking up four kills. Jauregui got some help from  Debora Lopez and her seven assists. Jauregui was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
Hubbard's record now sits at 6-0. As for Little Village, their defeat was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1.
