The Lawrence Academy Warriors will head out on the road to  challenge  the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pungo Christian Academy will be up against a hot Lawrence Academy  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to three. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  16-1 margin over Northeast Academy on Monday.
 Jaslene Ethridge made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with three  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Claire Smith was  incredible,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple.  Lilly Brower was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with four  RBI and one  run.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Pungo Christian Academy). They put the hurt on Ridgecroft with a sharp  21-10 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their one-run performance the  match before.
 Henley Gibbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Emma Hanna was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Patricia Pugh, who  went 3-for-6 with four  runs and two  RBI.
 Pungo Christian Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .422. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Lawrence Academy's record now sits at 17-5. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their record is now 6-10.
Wednesday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lawrence Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Pungo Christian Academy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Lawrence Academy took their  victory against Pungo Christian Academy  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  20-1 score. Do  the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
