Baseball Recap: Foster Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

The Foster Falcons got the win against the Alief Hastings Bears on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Paxton Dagley looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Foster let AJ Rajabi and Kai Kirchheiner run wild. Rajabi scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Kirchheiner went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Rajabi has become a key player for Foster: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 10-11-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Poirier, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Foster has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Alief Hastings, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Foster will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
