The Franklin Admirals had to endure a 18-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Mount Juliet with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-7. The win was all the more spectacular given Franklin's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Mount Juliet is ranked 31st).
Among those leading the charge was Sean Gaca, who gained 98 total yards and three touchdowns.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Mount Juliet, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.
Franklin will head out on the road to face off against Overton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Juliet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
