National Cathedral suffered a rough 54-28 defeat at the hands of Episcopal. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for National Cathedral in their matchups with Episcopal: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Ava Sawi, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Episcopal. That makes it five consecutive games in which Sawi has scored at least 25% of Episcopal's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Princess Akojenu, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
National Cathedral's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
National Cathedral will head out on the road to face off against DC International at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Episcopal will be home for the holidays to greet Seton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
