The Crestline Bulldogs had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down Lucas 38-24 on Monday. That looming 38-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Crestline yet this season.
Crestline found their leader in underclassman Jocelyn Noblit, who scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Noblit has scored at least 25% of Crestline's points. Another player making a difference was Kennedi Sipes, who scored 16 points.
Crestline's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lucas, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestline won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Edison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Thursday. Lucas' road trip will continue as they head out to face Central Christian at 7:15 p.m. on December 14th.
