Having just played yesterday, Prospect Hill Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Neighborhood House Charter Legends at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Prospect Hill Academy entered their tilt with Maimonides with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Prospect Hill Academy walked away with a 61-51 victory over Maimonides back in December of 2023.
Meanwhile, Neighborhood House Charter put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Varsity Opponent 38-24. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Neighborhood House Charter has scored all year.
Neighborhood House Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alicia Browder led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Browder has scored at least a third of Neighborhood House Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karin Richardson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Prospect Hill Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Neighborhood House Charter, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Prospect Hill Academy against Neighborhood House Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 38-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prospect Hill Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
