It was a good run, but the North Hagerstown Hubs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Martinsburg. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Hagerstown has scored all season.
Reece Strickland and Will Bonds certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Strickland scored ten points, while Bonds scored ten points along with six rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him.
North Hagerstown's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Martinsburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
North Hagerstown's road trip will continue as they head out to face Washington at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Martinsburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Linsly on December 29th. Linsly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Martinsburg likes a good challenge.
