It was a good run, but Evans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Plainview Hornets by a score of 10-9. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Plainview, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.

Evans has already played their next contest (against Merryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Plainview, they will head out to take on Gibsland-Coleman at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
