Torrey Pines is 5-0 against the Bobcats since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Torrey Pines Falcons' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Sage Creek Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Torrey Pines will be strutting in after a win while the Bobcats will be coming in after a defeat.
In what's become a running theme this season, Torrey Pines gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 78-29 win over San Dieguito Academy at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-9.
Torrey Pines had a senior duo take command as Dylan Kail scored 12 points along with two steals and Matin Madadkar scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cody Shen, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Sage Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The contest between them and El Camino wasn't particularly close, with Sage Creek falling 62-47.
Torrey Pines has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Sage Creek, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-11.
Torrey Pines was able to grind out a solid victory over the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in January, winning 66-53. Does Torrey Pines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
