With a playoff game on the line, the Dunbar Tigers rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 12-7 W over the Titans. The win was nothing new for Dunbar as they're now sitting on five straight.
Dunbar got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Twaski Abrams out in front who picked up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Dunbar also got a significant boost from Chris Singleton, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 127 yards.
Dunbar is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Golden Gate, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Dunbar will head out on the road to face off against Naples at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Naples will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Golden Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
