Cicero-North Syracuse fell victim to West Genesee and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Northstars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lucas Aiello spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Cicero-North Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for West Genesee, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Cicero-North Syracuse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
