Softball Recap: Cumberland Wins Going Away Against Highland Regional

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Triton, Cumberland was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Highland Regional Tartans with a sharp 22-0 win. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

With the victory, Cumberland broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for Highland Regional, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland will welcome Washington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.07 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland Regional, they will take on Triton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
