Camden had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dreher Blue Devils as they made off with a 16-7 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Tuesday.

Caiden McGuff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. McGuff was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other pitching news, Cade Marturano looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Thomas Bishop was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Ridgeway, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Camden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Camden's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dreher, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Camden and Dreher could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 92nd) will meet Gilbert (ranked 15th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dreher will take on Dutch Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (191 vs. 18).
