The Berwick Panthers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against Jeanerette as Berwick made off with a 53-33 win. For Berwick, this counts as revenge for the 39-29 defeat the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Berwick found their leader in underclassman Azyria Garrison, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. Garrison is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Bosman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Berwick's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Jeanerette, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Berwick won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Donaldsonville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 14 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
