6A Mt. Hood recap October 8, 2013
Central Catholic's Ryan Nall recorded the longest rushing play in 6A Mt. Hood this season in his game against Gresham last week. Nall ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 144 on the day as his team topped the Gophers.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Central Catholic beat Gresham 47-5. The victory was the sixth in a row for Steve Pyne's team.
The Rams' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aidan Wilder threw for 244 and 2 touchdowns and Cameron Scarlett had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Nall contributed 144 yards. Holden Oglesbee helped Central Catholic's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 51 yards.
He went 15-26 with 2 interceptions.
Wilder put up the best numbers through the air as Central Catholic defeated the Gophers. Wilder's favorite target this week was Scarlett, who caught 4 passes for 75 yards.
Central Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wilder has thrown for 890 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Zach Davis has 16 catches for 317 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Reynolds takes on Centennial. As it stands, the Raiders are in fourth, while the Eagles are in second.
Reynolds lost to Douglas 73-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
