The Cooper Bulldogs and the Garrison Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Cooper Bulldogs had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 47-20 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Cooper's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garrison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Javien Black, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Jachristopher Shepherd was in the mix too, providing Garrison with two touchdowns.
Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Garrison, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garrison will head out on the road to face off against Timpson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timpson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
