It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fallston had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They skirted past Patterson Mill 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against Patterson Mill back in April, they had to take a 8-1 loss.
Mary Pfaff was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
