The Chiles Timberwolves had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ambassadors Christian Academy 49-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Chiles, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Chiles was led to victory by Ryan Sumner and Taylor Jacobs jr. Sumner picked up 109 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Jacobs jr threw for 166 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Sumner was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 67 yards. Another player making a difference was Markus Lundy, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Chiles' win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Ambassadors Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14-1.
Chiles will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. As for Ambassadors Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th.
