The DuQuoin Indians's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Altamont Indians at 6:00 p.m. on December 26th. DuQuoin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 461st, while Altamont is ranked 186th).
Last Friday, DuQuoin suffered a rough 61-35 loss at the hands of Murphysboro. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points DuQuoin has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Altamont didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Marshall on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory.
It was another big night for Eli Miller, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Milleville, who scored 13 points.
DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Altamont, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
DuQuoin lost to Altamont on the road by a decisive 72-57 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can DuQuoin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
