On Friday, DePaul Catholic took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-21 win over St. Mary. Given DePaul Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while St. Mary is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Nolan James, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Elijah Burress, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for DePaul Catholic and bumps their season record up to 5-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points per game. As for St. Mary, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
DePaul Catholic will take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas Aquinas will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. St. Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
