Jack Britt extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Monday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Purnell Swett Rams. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.
Jack Britt handed starting duties to Anna Sloan, who gave a strong showing despite the result: she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Naomi Rosario was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was JoAnna Rone, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
As for Purnell Swett, their record now sits at 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 15, 2025.
On Purnell Swett's side, Braci Woods spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Chloe Chavis was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Jayla Graham was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
