Lab University Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the NC GBB Academy National Eagles at TBD on Saturday. Lab University Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully the Eagles likes a good challenge.
Even though Charlotte Elite Academy scored an imposing 68 points on Wednesday, Lab University Prep still came out on top. Lab University Prep took down the Soldiers 83-68. Given Lab University Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Soldiers are ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
DeMarco Reynolds continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Crockett, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, NC GBB Academy National scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Sunday. They came out on top against Blue Ridge by a score of 87-77. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lab University Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for NC GBB Academy National, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
