The Lehman Lions will challenge Petrides at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lehman's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past East Harlem 10-0. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five games in a row.
Keven Luciano made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Those four stolen bases gave Matos a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jesus Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Lehman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Harlem only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Petrides made easy work of Jamaica on Friday and carried off a 10-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Petrides' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Lehman pushed their record up to 20-2-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Petrides, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Lehman might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Petrides in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will the Lions have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
