The Danville Vikings will head out on the road to  take on  the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
On Monday, Danville didn't have quite enough to beat Urbana and fell  2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers  25-21 in the first  set.
 Danville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-12,  25-21.
Meanwhile, Georgetown-Ridge Farm entered their tilt with Watseka on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with  a   2-0  win over the Warriors.
 While Georgetown-Ridge Farm won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17,  25-22.
 Danville dropped their record down to 2-17 with the  defeat, which was their eighth straight  on the road. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
 Danville couldn't quite get it done against Georgetown-Ridge Farm in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023 as they fell  2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
