Basketball Recap: Eaglecrest Beats Canyon for Their Third Straight Victory

Eaglecrest strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 42-33 win over the Canyon Comanches. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Raptors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 34th in Colorado, while the Comanches are ranked 420th in California).

Eaglecrest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kiarra Spellman, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Spellman, who had ten points and six boards.

Eaglecrest's record now sits at 3-0. As for Canyon, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Eaglecrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-42 victory against Torrance on the 11th. As for Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-42 loss against Marina on the 13th.
