Softball Recap: Lone Oak Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lone Oak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Prairiland Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-1 back in March.

Lone Oak's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Prairiland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lone Oak and Prairiland will both be playing Winnsboro the next time they take the field. The Buffaloes will head out to face the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
