The Alchesay Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Monument Valley 59-54. Alchesay has not had much luck with Monument Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Alchesay lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brent Aday, who scored 15 points. Aday hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Texas James, who scored 13 points.
Alchesay has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Monument Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.
Alchesay's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ganado at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Monument Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Window Rock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Window Rock has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3.
