Softball Recap: Robinson's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 14

Robinson entered their tilt with Gatesville on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Lexi Rosillo and Kaygen Marshall did most of the damage at the plate: Rosillo scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Marshall went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Peyton Richards was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Robinson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive contests.

Robinson's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Gatesville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9-1.

Robinson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
