The Kehillah Rams's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Pescadero 64-50. Kehillah pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Pescadero cut but never quite recovered from.
Leading Kehillah to victory were Ian Cohen and Ittai Kohavi. Cohen scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Kohavi dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Cohen scored 15 or more points. Bodhi Gemello was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Kehillah's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Pescadero, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Kehillah will be playing at home against The Nueva School at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Gabe Ciechanover and Kohavi. As for Pescadero, they will head out on the road to take on Summit Shasta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Summit Shasta's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
