Baseball Recap: St. Johns Takes a Loss

St. Johns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Holbrook Roadrunners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roadrunners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Thursday.

St. Johns saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everett McFee, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave McFee a new career-high.

St. Johns' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Holbrook, their record is now 4-5.

Coincidentally, St. Johns and Holbrook will both be playing Morenci the next time they take the field. Holbrook will head out to face Morenci at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while St. Johns will host them at 2:00 p.m. on March 17th.
