Monomoy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Barnstable recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Monomoy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.2 runs per game this season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start last Friday as neither Monomoy nor Nauset Regional made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Sharks never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Kinsey Lister, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Nauset Regional off the board. Lister has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Kiley Mawn was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. Arabella Higgins was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Barnstable hadn't done well against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. The Red Hawks were the clear victors by a 22-15 margin over the Dolphins. The Red Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Madison Flynn made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Flynn was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jazlyn Coyer was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Sheppard, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Barnstable always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Monomoy's record is now 7-1. As for Barnstable, their record now sits at 2-5-1.
Monomoy got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 6th against Barnstable by a conclusive 21-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
