Given Nanih Waiya's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Noxapater is ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nanih Waiya's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nyshea Hoskin, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Robinson, who scored 14 points.
Nanih Waiya pushed their record up to 22-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Noxapater, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Nanih Waiya didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-31 win vs. Velma Jackson on the 9th. Noxapater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
